KOLKATA: Today’s ration distribution at Chetla red light area. We distributed essential dry ration packages to 134 needy and poor families. Today we had organised it well so we were able to maintain social distancing and handover the packages.
MUMBAI: A Purnata staff member who works in the Mumbai branch has done some additional surveying of her hometown of Chikli in Buldhana district of Maharashtra, where she is currently staying. She found that most of the area is sealed off due to the number of COVID-19 cases found in the area. She reports around 70 families of daily wage laborers and farmers are in need of immediate assistance. We are currently working out a way to distribute care packages there with the help of the staff member.
